Giveaway | Stroller Strides

I stayed pretty active after college by going on a walk several days a week (except of course in the winter when I usually gained a few pounds).  My first pregnancy was a breeze- I didn’t gain very much weight and bounced back to my “normal” body pretty quick.  My second pregnancy was very different.  I gained much more weight and did NOT bounce back like I thought I should.  Even after I felt like the weight was coming off, my entire body was flabby.  My “normal” was gone. I went shopping for new summer clothes and decided I was NOT going to wear sleeveless shirts anymore.  Could I get away with long sleeves all summer long?? I had NO muscle left!  I started going to Stroller Strides in April and within 2 months I could see muscle tone in my arms, legs, and stomach!  Besides, I was getting a pretty decent tan from being outside!  What a boost in my self-esteem!  And I DID wear sleeveless shirts that summer after all!  On top of it all, I was making friends!  I was happier, healthier and, ya know, that made me a better mom!

Now I want to hear your story!  How have you made strides in fitness, motherhood, and life since your children were born?

TO ENTER: Comment on the blog or send me an email at [email protected]  One lucky winner will receive THREE months of FREE Stroller Strides classes!  That’s a winter of NOT gaining those extra pounds!

*New members only.  Winner will be announced October 27.

My daughter is almost 11 months old and it’s taken me about that long to *almost* get back to my pre-pregnancy size. I’m still one size bigger, but I’m happy with that. I was probably too thin before. Anyway, I think I lost the weight by nursing, because I certainly didn’t exercise. I think I exercised for seriously, maybe 4 days, months ago. I’m just plain lazy when it comes to exercise. I would love to win the classes so I can tone up. I don’t want to be thin and flabby…I want to be thin and fabby! Ahahaha! So corny! :)

I joined the “chubby club” at work and in 8 weeks I lost almost 10 pounds. All I did was watch what I ate and ran a couple times a week. I don’t mind running outside-I hate running on a treadmill. My son is almost 5 months old and I’m a couple pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight.

I just started trying to get back into a workout routine. My daughter was born at the end of April and I’m not digging how my clothes fit. I find that exercising with others is the best fit for me. It helps boost my endorphins and gets us all out of the house. I have been looking forward to trying out Stroller Strides!

I’m not a new member so bummer that I can’t win, but I CAN happily put in a plug for Stroller Strides. I have fallen off the wagon a bit due to life’s craziness and illnesses and travel, etc, but when I was going regularly to Stroller Strides I very quickly noticed a difference in my muscle tone – it really didn’t take that long. And everyone is SO welcoming and nice, and in the same boat with little kids! With this second baby I notice the overall “flabbiness” and it’s no fun!!! Hoping to get back to Stroller Strides soon. I also go to a gym with a really fun playland (similar to a McDonald’s playland type-thing) and my almost 4 year old loves it there – a little break for me and we are both getting exercise.

I would love to join stroller strides. I have some extra baby weight to lose from when I had my two kiddos. I would also love the time to meet new moms and have my kids meet new kids. So pick me :)

My daughter is 6 months old. My form of cardiovascular exercise is going up and down the stairs for diaper changes and to switch all the laundry. For resistance training I am constantly picking up a 15 pound baby who always seems to roll into weird spots. It would be nice to actually exercise with other new mons!

I’ve heard great things about stroller strides! 3 kiddos later, I’m pretty much at my Pre-prego weight, but let’s just admit it ladies, things don’t go back the same way they were!!!! :) Love to get jogging again. By the way, where do you go in the winter months???
