Yes, I’m remembering a warm summer night in Jr. High, my best friend and I jumping on the trampoline, singing the lyrics of Shania Twain’s song. So much has happened since 1997. Sooooo.Much. Mom jeans. Push up bras. Ponytails. Minivans.
I look back at pictures of myself pre-baby and am mesmerized by how young my skin looked, how styled my hair was, and how good I looked in my clothes. If I could go back, I would tell myself, “this is the thickest your hair will ever be! Enjoy those jeans now! Your stomach is not the most ideal place for a tattoo!“ Yes, soooo much has happened.
Before starting this mom’s blog, I wore my hair in a pony tail more often than I styled it. I had a horrible bra that was doing me no good along with a bunch of mediocre jeans. You know what my problem was? I didn’t feel good about myself. One of the best things about getting a makeover in December was that I began to feel like a woman again. It’s amazing what a good haircut, new makeup, and a pretty outfit did for my self-esteem!

After 4 years of fighting my transformations from multiple pregnancies and getting older, I found 3 simple things that have made me feel better about myself.
1) Buy one pair of NICE jeans that fit you perfectly. It feels so good to slip on a pair of jeans without having to lay down on your bed to wiggle into them. It doesn’t matter how many months or years post-baby you are, a good pair of jeans will simply make you feel better.
2) Get your hair cut and styled by a professional AT LEAST once a year. After fighting with my hair for the last 3 decades, Stacey gave me a style that embraces what I was born with. She taught me how to style it and gave me tips on how to make each wash last longer. My hair is easier to do now than ever before (and it looks better)!
3) Buy a good bra. One that puts things in their place.
What makes you feel better about yourself?

So important to remember to take time for yourself. You look amazing by the way!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and being so open Camye! I often think back to those Jr. High days when life was perfect!
Thanks for sharing, Camye! Loved this post.
I am watching you on Paula Sands and OMG i am that woman that all i wear is sweatshirts and ponty tails. Never seem to take time for myself. I ve got 3 children and kinda just gave up on my looks. My husband had a heart transplant last year and there just isn’t time for that stuff like hair, nails and clothing..lol We have had such a roller coaster year I would love to have someone come wisk me away and get a mini makeover. The lady that got looked amazing
